I'm getting to print Phantom of Truth! Thanks to probably the coolest person I have never met in RL ever (who by the way is having her own contest, go make cool stuff for her:
[link] ), PoT will be turned into a realio trulio little print version.

I would love to put a couple of illustrations inside the book, so I'm holding a contest!
Deadline:
May 31st, 2013.The pics need to be:
Scalable to 5x8" and portrait oriented (as opposed to landscape)
Black and white (or grayscale)
Original works (no photomanips please)
In this case I won't be taking photos, sorry!
They can be in any style and from any part of the story. These don't have to be literal illustrations; you can do something more metaphorical. To enter, upload your pic to DA or another visual media site, then send me a link.
Current Entries![link] by
CriteriaI'lll be looking for pictures that reflect the feeling of the story, use the monochromatic format well, and just generally appeal to me. Technical quality will play a factor since this is going to print and I do want it to look nice. Even if you're not confident, you should enter anyway! I would love to see what you come up with.
Prizes:Third place may pick one, second place two, and first gets three.
- A paperback copy of Phantom of Truth (signed by me if you wish)
- Three month premium membership to DeviantArt
- A oneshot on the topic of your choice
- A handmade custom DP t-shirt by me.
I reserve the right to come up with random bonus prizes and/or do nice things for any hon. mentions.
Questions:I don't do amputation and gore. Can I draw something non-angsty?Please do! Believe it or not there were some funny parts in there too.

I'd love to see a pic of Danny and Maddie earlier on when they were almost getting along.
Does it have to be black and white?Yup, sorry 'bout that. You can use grayscale shading but not any kind of color.
Can I make more than one? What if I've already drawn something? There are no limitations on the number of entries. You're welcome to enter anything that fits the formatting.
I'm not going to enter but I want a copy anyway! As much as I'd love to say "free books for everybody!", I'm unfortunately not made of money. Or paper. If you could put something toward printing costs, I might be able to work something out. PM me and we'll talk.
Copyright issues:Danny Phantom belongs to Butch Hartman and Nickelodeon. Phantom of Truth is a derivative work and full credit for the characters goes to the original creators. I am *not* making any form of profit on this and these books are not for sale. This is simply a chance to see my work in print, given by the kindness of a friend and funded by me for personal enjoyment. The content of Phantom of Truth belongs to me. Any images used belong to their respective creators.
